Track Geometry & Infrastructure Surveys

Track Geometry Surveys can benchmark the track condition at any moment in time and assist in future maintenance predictions. Measurements relate direct to the track axis meaning that periodic surveys can help to assess the track condition and the rate at which track degradation occurs.

Using a trolley mounted system, the level and alignment of the track is surveyed. At the same time the track twist, cant and gauge are collected; a servo driven measurement device attached to the trolley enables features to be surveyed and directly relate to the track alignment cross section.

The data can be delivered in both 2D and 3D formats, in AutoCAD and Microstation. With clearance, twist, cant and gauge data located relative to track axis, issued in tabular or sectional formats; allowing clearance envelope compliance to be assessed.
